Welcome to the Old Manor, Twyning
The Old Manor, Twyning is near Tewkesbury on the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire border, it's a smallholding and home to Nick and Sue Lambert . After many years living and working in the Thames Valley we moved to The Old Manor in 2000 and we run two businesses:

This website has information about Old Manor products, the smallholding and the animals. We also have on online shop at www.oldmanorproducts.co.uk. The shop sells our handmade preserves and gift boxes online and products either made at the Old Manor or inspired by the grounds and the animals. We've also included links to websites and contacts, which we've found helpful in setting up and running The Old Manor smallholding. Typical of many smallholdings around Gloucestershire and Hereford & Worcester, The Old Manor has traditional apple orchards which are now home to our flock of Pedigree Ryeland sheep. As well as providing superb quality wool and great tasting free range lamb, our Ryeland Sheep make very useful "lawn mowers ". They're a friendly, easy to look after, breed which means they also make ideal pet sheep. Our Ryeland Sheep page has more information and photos of the flock.

Our Buff Orpingtons share the orchard with the sheep and from time to time they're are also found wandering around the garden. The Buff Orpingtons are completely free range and at bed time they're normally perched in the hen house waiting for the doors to be closed. We supply hatching eggs, chicks and occasionally adult birds for people keeping chickens but we don't sell fresh eating eggs. With just a couple of Buff Orpington Hens you get a good supply of great tasting, dark yellow yolked eggs. We also couldn't resist adding Buff Orpington Ceramics to our Old Manor Products range! |

Our range of handmade jams, fruit jellies and chutneys are available on-line - either separately or as part of our gift boxed collections and they're ideal for sending as Thank you, Birthday and Christmas presents by post. The fruit and vegetables used in Old Manor Products come mainly from our Orchard and the Kitchen Garden . Most of the packaging can either be recycled or composted including the packaging chips which are made from natural material. |

We follow a natural approach to our fruit and vegetable production - using natural products and avoiding unnecessary chemicals (which can be deadly to our bees). Our animals are free range with plenty of room to wander and feed. Their diets are supplemented with natural grains and pellets. We are a registered smallholding, members of the Ryeland Flock Book Society and the British Beekeeping Association. |
