Kitchen Gardens
Inside the warmer, protected environment of the walled garden are more tender fruit trees such as pear, fig, peach and plum. Blackberries and an old Mulberry tree also provide a good supply of fruit for our berry jams and the quince and crab apples make delicious jelly. The kiwi fruit thrives on a warm south facing wall and produces a large crop of kiwis used to make Old Manor Products Kiwi Fruit Jam.
Old Manor Blackcurrants, Gooseberries, Raspberries, Strawberries and Rhubarb are all used in our preserves.
The Vegetable garden provides marrows, carrots, tomatoes, chillies, parsnips, courgettes, beetroots and herbs for our range of chutneys. |
